An awesome weekend!

After Fridays craziness, I really needed a great weekend, and that is exactly what went down!

Friday evening, Rachael and I headed through to Primi in Cav for some cocktails, which turned out to be quite a few cocktails, and a serious amount of laughter and chit chat! The place was absolutely packed, with queues for both upstairs and downstairs. We fortunately managed to get a seat at the bar, and organised ourselves on the list for the minute a table became open. Later in the evening Fe came round, after work, and we had a couple more drinks, and then moved over to Lizards. Met up with Abby, Will, Jamie, Zayne, Barry, Gareth, Sean and a couple other people, so the night got better as it went on. Afterwards, Rachael and I took a long drive down to Fishhoek, so she could see some sites, as she returns to Scotland towards the middle of the month – was awesome getting out that side, as it’s a side I don’t find myself on very often at all!

Saturday morning I was up early, and went for brunch at Rondebosch Golf Course, I tell you, I had such a good laugh at all the people in their golfing gear, trying to look all with it, lol – I really just don’t understand the sport, so damn slow and boring! I do get the business contacts building side of it, but damn, you could do that over a pub lunch or a game of tennis, each to their own I guess.

Saturday afternoon, I managed to pull myself up, and head to Y.D.E. to take advantage of the new range of clothing. Managed to get myself a bunch of items, a tee, a jersey and a shirt, was really happy, as I’ve found it so hard lately to find anything good in the line of guys clothing! The Y.D.E. change rooms are disgusting.. boiling hot and smelly, because for some reason they’ve decided to ignore the usefulness of air conditioning, why?!??! Argh

Afterwards, I drove around looking for petrol, and after 7 or 8 stops I finally found some unleaded petrol, what a mission! Whilst driving around, I managed to get Kir a gift for her bday party, and a bottle of pinotage (yummy).

7 o clock was approaching, and things turned into a mad rush to get ready for Kir’s Party, fortunately, all went to plan, and we arrived on time, and ready to party! Her party was a complete success – Awesome people and an absolutely stunning venue! Lots of drinks, and great conversations, as well as plenty of snacks and an excellent braai!
