Yesterday evening I posted an article about Angelina Jolie on Facebook, and the response from the public was incredible! I posted the article fairly late in the evening, and after 5 minutes of the article being live, I had a record breaking 261 users viewing my website at the same time. Unfortunately, I don’t run any advertising on my website – it would have been interesting to see how people would have responded to adverts if they had been targeted at Angelina Jolie or celebrities.
I have always had an interest in celebrity websites, as I know the traffic those websites drive from a little experience and from friends who run celebrity websites, and my article proved it. 261 users all at once, just a few minutes after you mention that Angelina Jolie might be on Facebook! It makes me wonder how much free time everyone has, and how involved people like to be in other peoples lives!
