I was just about to leave work this evening, when I decided to hop onto Silver Sands and take a look at what was happening. I noticed that there was a free roll this evening, and decided to sign up. The time was just after 18h15, so I figured I had plenty time to get home and get ready for it. Needless to say, I arrived home literally seconds before it began and quickly took my seat amongst the tables provided to the other 767 players. I started off well, felt my confidence and excitement rising and made a very bad call and found myself close to broke. I slowly played my way up the list and after an hour or so and a rushed dinner during the 4 minute break, I found myself sitting in the top 50.
Time went by and some good hands and a bluff, which I’m so proud of, happened, which lead me to the top 20. At this point things began to get really hectic. I don’t play poker that often and this was my 2nd tournament ever, so the pressure was on. I arrived at the top 10 table and was really excited – The button was spinning around quickly as most people folded and my budget was low, so I decided I needed to go all in before I was posting blinds – it just felt safer than getting a krap hand and pushing all in to afford the big blind. I went all in on a K 10 off suite, and unfortunately it was not strong enough to hold me in the tournament..

What a fantastic game it was, and it was great to make a little cash and see what great talent actually plays on these local servers!

It’s really funny that I’m getting into shoes, because I used to NEVER care. I had like 4 pair of shoes for an entire year. 2 brown, 1 black, and 1 pair of tennis shoes.
Now I’m like a shoe addict. This is the influence of estrogen and college. Oy.
Grief, I got about 13 pairs! lawl! From boots to smart office shoes to sneakers to trainers to cuban heels, etc. haha!
