Google and open source

Everyone’s talking about Google, everything is being owned by Google, Google, Google, Google, argh! The Yeigo Blog talked about Google creating their own mobile phone, and then yesterday, PC Mag and Silicon Networks talked about there being no gPhone, however, they did mention Google unveiling it’s open source mobile software suite.

It’s hard to know what to think with all the publicity flying around, and it’s hard to know which source actually knows what is really going on. Will there be a gPhone, or was it too complicated for Google? Did this lead them to rather go open source? I somehow doubt the ‘too complicated’ part, but you never know, they can write a mean internet crawling spider machine, but can they code mobile?

I guess this is one of those things, which is going to continue to be speculated about and then all of a sudden every single website on the Internet will be talking about it!

I look forward to seeing what they come up with, especially taking into account all the various Google Tools which will be integrated with the mobile software suite!
