It’s not breaking news or anything, but Facebook now offer a neat way to organise all your friends. You are able to create lists and then add friends to the lists. So, if you are like me and have a good couple hundred friends of which many are business associates, etc, you will find this grouping extremely useful.
Once you have clicked the ‘Friends’ link at the top of Facebook, you will see a button on the right entitled ‘Make a New List’. On selecting this option, ajax will kick in and ask you for a name for this list. Once you have chosen a name, you will be presented with a new page and have the ability to add friends one by one or using the ‘Select Multiple Friends’ option. You will be able to arrange all your friends neatly now.
On top of this, once your friends are in lists, you will be able to send messages to users of specific groups, as well as invite lists of friends to events and groups. I am sure that this new grouping feature will expand into controlling feed contents and the likes in the near future, I will keep you all posted!
