From blogging to jogging – Part 3

As all of you know, I’ve started to jog and it’s going really well. My first run was alright and my second run was really painful, but all in all I’m stoked to be running. I actually feel healthier already! I’m not sure if that’s mind over matter, but my body really is feeling great, except for when I walk up stairs! Now, I’ve been saying that I would purchases some running shoes and that’s what I did today!

I headed through to Sportsmans Warehouse to go look and fortunately a dedicated sales staff member came over to assist. Long story short, he was fantastic! I told him I wouldn’t spend R800.00 on a pair of shoes and he ran off to gather a couple pairs more in the price range I had suggested. He got me to walk up and down, so he could see how my feet moved and were shaped and then spent time asking what my goals were, etc. I was so damn impressed! The shoes are incredibly comfortable and I look forward to my next run!

So anyway, after spending R500.00 I figured that the running shorts, sweatbands and ipod toys could wait a couple of weeks ;)

So this evening I was meant to do stretching, weights and things, but bugger that – I’m running!

   Ye mate, I just don’t have time at the moment to run around to different shops, these ones are incredibly comfortable, so I’m stoked :)

   Since when did you start running?

   hehe i go to a personal trainer so i just use it for that

   Rad, silver is cool. It’s amazing what a decent pair of shoes can do for your running, you’ll feel the difference bigtime.
