@jaco: I agree with what you wrote, however, I’d like to point out that I give anyone subscribed to my mailing lists a global unsubscribe option which adds their email address to a global opt out list. When sending emails, I check first if the email is on the global opt list. If it is, no mail is sent to them. So even if I create new mailing lists, they won’t be re-subscribed.

I only wish to send my emails to those who want to receive it. Many people find what I send out useful.

Chris, i have been on this blog many times before, be honest, there is no way anyone will stop spam, the easiest is to protect your inbox from receiving unwanted mail, the moment you advertise your e mail address you actually agrees to receive spam. Ask Ispa to take a spammer to court and let’s see what happen, Ispa is only a code of conduct they are no act whatsoever, the electronic communications act requirements says, i need to tell you where i got your e mail from and i need to give you the option to opt out or unsubscribe, say i call my first mailing “membership” the recipient will unsubscribe from that mailing list, but now suddenly i call my second mailing “Join Us” now the recipient will also have to unsubscribe from that mailing list.
i agree some guys knows how to irritate the hell out of people, but i say if i send a mailing to you say once a month what is wrong with that and please do not tell me it is against the law, it is also against the law to drive 80 in a 60 zone, it is against the law to through a sigaret out of your car, it is against the law not to pay your taxes, yip and we all do that, but when it comes to things that irritate an individual now i suddenly want to jump on the bandwagon.
companies can save millions on fuel, tollfees, accidents, time and so much more if they implement proper e mail marketing structures, not to mention how many lives will be saved from accidents, hijackings, armed robberies and much more, By running marketing campaigns we can also screw government with this high fuel prices we currently have, when i get unwanted mail i jusr press delete, i do not have the time to send little love letters, think about twhat i am saying.

I have been reading your internet biatch fights for some time now, you are all a lot of pathetic losers, please go for some keyboard training, i will explain, on your keyboard is a function called delete, next time you receive spam just press the delete function and walah the spam is gone, rather than spending hours typing a lot of crab to one another. Richard Catto is a known spammer http://ispa.org.za/spam/hall-of-shame/#2260 with multiple entries, and years of abuse. Fact.
Richard Catto deserves the discomfort of others mocking him purely for this reason alone.

Its best to avoid threatening replies to Richard Catto’s spam (as his personality borderlines narcissism). Just inform ispa, and further his reign as a hypocritical loser.

Richard Catto’s only attempt to break free from such, would be to stop being such a pest online. However, learning from mistakes evidently isnt something in Richard Catto’s inventory.

And I could probably tell you how to go about it. Google are not the wonderful people that everyone seems to think, in my opinion. Try hanging out on their help forum for a few years & you might agree.

For a start, it seems very likely to me that they make more money out of advertising porn than anything else. Over $43,000 per day for appearing at the top of adwords for the keyword “porn”, just in the US. One keyword, in one position, in one country, for one day. This from a company built on the slogan “Don’t Be Evil”. hohohohoho
