Microsoft has revealed the latest figures which was published by Chart Track revealing a massive 214% rise in sales for the Xbox 360 in the last two weeks. The console also outsold the PlayStation 3 by more than two-to-one in the UK.
Here’s what Chris Lewis, Vice President, Interactive Entertainment Business EMEA, had to say: “This data shows that the Xbox 360 trajectory continues upwards, and not just in the UK. We’ve seen uplift in all countries in Europe and are confident that even at this rate of growth we can keep retail satisfied with a steady supply of consoles throughout the Christmas season. Our commitment to continuously improving and innovating new content, our new high-profile marketing campaign and the fact that we’re now the best-value next-gen console on the market with an entry-level ERP of £129.99 combine to make Xbox 360 the right blend of gaming and wider experiences at the right price to offer unparalleled entertainment for everyone. And these figures prove it.”
This is quite obvious as the PS3 really does suck.
For its price, its gfx arent better than an Xbox and neither are its games. Its loading times are considerably slower and well we all know the BluRay drive is all hype.
Bluray will become useless in 2010/2011 and a new format will be released which will probably be incorporated into the Xbox720 or PS4.
So after owning an Xbox and testing a PS3 i can honestly say as PS3 not that great. Except that online game play is free, but with the current state of telecommunications in this country, playing PS3 games online is almost impossible.
