Nathan Barry thought outside the box (or inside) on this one, and it’s truly brilliant! He took the plastic packaging that the iPhone 3G came in and with a sharp knife, he grooved a slot, which can house the iPhone sideways.

As you can see from the above image, it’s a simple groove, which shouldn’t take more than a few minutes and this is what the end result is..

Ingenius!

Now all Apple must do is grab the design and have the boxes pre-cut ;-)
It will save on material costs and will provide an eco friendly use for the leftovers.
Another nice feature could be to turn this same box it into a bedside charger, so when you plug in the iPhone it starts charging, I bet millions of people would use this sexy bedside clock..
Classic dude, I was just on your Facebook profile and a comment email comes through!
I agree, they should precut the boxes, that would be rocking. I just need to get myself a damn iPhone now :P
Just did a post about this idea. Linked to it via this comment ;-)
Thanks Simon!
Np dude, anytime ;-)
I did it! Thanks for the idea.
Awesome!
When I get my iPhone I’m gonna definitely going to do this!
Nice find and awesome idea.
Ye, it pushed me close to buying an iPhone just for this. There’s something about innovation which pulls me in!
