I’m actually impressed with Telkom

At the beginning of the week, Ian and I decided that we should upgrade to a 4MB line, because the 384K line was just too slow to imagine. Ian placed the upgrade query earlier this week and today we were contacted by Telkom to let us know that the upgrade is complete.

Now, we all know that these things usually take weeks, if not months, but not like time, just a couple of days!

I’m impressed!

    I ordered a 4mbit line about 2months ago. They said it would take 10 working days or so. I woke up the next morning to find out it was complete already! They seem to be getting their act together these days :)

  2. Hi Chris, I have a telkom 4mb line…awesome. It went down this week due to ‘water in street box issues’ Sifiso the telkom dude was here within 24 hrs of reporting the issue and sorted it out. I received sms updates and ref numbers throughout…I know telkom gets flack but in this instance they provided awesome service!

    Ye @James, it was a fast movement on their behalf, good for them!

    @Melissa, ye, there were a great deal of problems with DSL lines this past week, but everything seems stable again from what I can tell.

    They are quick to upgrade you, but when it comes to servicing they take forever. My 4mb line has become intermittent. Been waiting on them since Monday. But 4mb lines are awesome.
