About 2 years ago, I started playing Battlefield 2 with some friends at a local Internet Cafe. We would finish our shift at Butlers Pizza and then head on through. Mr Kim, the owner, would let us play at an hourly rate of R10.00, so you can just imagine how much we used to play!
This lasted for a good couple months, but unfortunately died down as people started to get other commitments, etc.
Ian and I had a 4MB line installed in the flat, which has enabled us to play games online seemlessly. Now, most of you know I’m not really into gaming, but when it comes to Battlefield, think again, I’m a complete junkie, especially when I play online!
So, I’ve started playing again, which I think is a good move, let trawling the Internet and working, and more relaxation.
It’s such an incredible game once you know what’s going on! If you play, come join me on the SGS servers and let’s battle!
BattleField 2? Oh man – it OWNS. That game is old, but I still play it alot. I don’t play online though – but I LAN it as often as I can.
What’s your fav plane? I love the F15 Eagle. But for the Kubre Dam map, I use the F18. I love flying sideways through that dam wall with it. (You should try it…)

@Marius – Ye bro, I’ve just spent the last 4 hours in a crazy match! I’m not a big flying junkie, I’ve only been playing again for a couple of days, so I need to get back into it. I’m an anti-tank junkie :)
@James M – COD4 is decent, I’ve got it installed, but it didn’t get me hooked, whereas BF2 got me hooked from day one :)

Have you played BF2142? What did you think of it?
I bought it twice, and both times the serial key had already been used (thanx to staff at incredible corruption). I eventually got a crack for it (of which I am PROUD)
The vanilla installation of the game is a bit limited, especially in single player mode. That is untill you install the Titan Lite mod… OMG. Then the game becomes EPIC. Titan lite is almost like the BF2 64Player Maps Mod (in single player mode), but it ads alot of weapons to the game.
My buddy and I also made some weapons mods for the game (You can get it at http://www.forum.vriendekring.co.za under Game mods)
All in all – a great game – IF you have the Titan Lite mod for it.

I will in future. But to be honest, I haven’t had time for playing games lately. Sad – I know. I can’t wait for the new BattleField to come out though (for pc, not console).
After abovementioned incident, the only reason I go to Incredible Connection is if I am in a mall and need to fart.
@Marius – You know, I’ve been in the same position so I can respect that.. there’s little time to eat, let alone play games! I’ve changed things big time in my life, I’m making time for gaming and fishing!
Unfortunately, I work for myself – and time is a luxuary. But yea – I do give mysef an hour or two for games now and then.

I just finished Homeworld 2…
I’ve had it for so long, but never played it as the game came without a cd key on the box, for some reason.
Kind of liked it, although I’m more a FPS type of gamer (hence my collection of BF games)
But controlling your own armada of battlecruisers, fighters and corvette ships and destroying your enemies at the same time can be fun…

I’m not familiar with the game, I’m not a gamer at all to be honest, Quake III and Battlefield II are the only games I’ve ever really played. I installed COD4, played for 20minutes and have not touched it again.
No CD Key in the box, that’s dodgy! :/
Spore looks like an amazing game, I watched my flat mate playing it a while back, but once again, I didn’t bother getting it ;)
I saw a review of Spore – and yes, it looks kind of fun.
You should really play COD4 – it’s good. Especially the mission where you’re a gunner on a Galaxy C5 (I think that’s what it is) Shooting the crap out of people takes on a whole new meaning when you’re doing it from 5000 feet up… and they don’t know you’re there.
I still remember when QuakeIII came out – for months THAT was the game that all hardware got benchmarked on. (By PCFormat, in any case) Quite fast paced, and alot of fun. And the comments from the bots are histerical…
Hehe, guess I’ll have to take another look at it, as it’s still installed, but right now I really want a game of BF :P
I seriously need some new maps for BF2. I’m gatvol of playing the default ones…
