After a fairly long drive and a horrible 10km dirt road on STorm’s sports suspension, we arrived here safely and were greeted by a really nice farmer. The little cabin is awesome and the views from the bedroom are to die for!
After some fishing, only got one bite, arg, I started up a fire and braaied some juicy meet, which was complemented with an interesting red wine blend. We lay on a big blanket under the stars and I counted about eight shooting stars.. must be a record!
Sleeping was a dream, not a single sound, except for the odd bird or horse in the distance. The morning comprised of some bacon and eggs, followed by a swim in the river, which was surprisingly warm!
I’m now watching the sunset, just started a fire and am listening to the birds, whilst Fe has gone horse riding with the farm owner.
It’s truly stunning out here, hard to believe that there’s life outside an Internet connection ;)

Hi Wogan, geez mate, what a great weekend away it was!
I arrived back to 100+ emails, 20+ tweets and 50+ comments amongst other things, but that’s all dealt with, so I can chill out now and hopefully play some BF2, which I’ve been craving big time!
I hope you’re having a great weekend, you’re no doubt working on that huge stack of mystery projects ;)
They’re not exactly mystery anymore – depending on whether or not you can guess what I mean by my domain names ;)
What I do need, though, is a new theme, in honor of WordPress 2.7. It’ll be time to upgrade in 3 weeks or so.
