Afrigator is a social aggregator, which ranks blogs throughout Africa based on various criteria. I’ve been a fan of Afrigator for a long time and have even explored the differences between Afrigator and Amatomu.

iMod is a top ranked blog on Afrigator and has even reached position number 1 just a few weeks back. I’ve met the gents behind the great start up and it’s obvious why the site is doing so well! When they launched Afrigator beta 2, I know that big things were in the pipeline and I was right!
Afrigator is in the process of expanding on areas of their website, which the public most enjoys and in light of this, they’re running a competition with the code name AfriGreater, whereby we are meant to blog about things we enjoy about the site and 5 lucky people will win t-shirts!
So here are a few things, which I feel makes Afrigator stand out:
- Afrigator covers the whole of Africa and not just South Africa
- The design is minimalist, which brings content to eye
- The custom filtered posts allow me to see what I want to see
- The stats.png icon allows for quick rank checking
- Afrigator runs interesting competitions and campaigns
- Latestly, Afrigator is run by a wicked team!
Now, Afrigator still owes me a t-shirt so I was a little skeptical about entering, but because I really dig them, I decided why not :)

LOL, yeah, sorry Chris, we realised that we absolutely SUCK at distribution, so that’s exactly why we’re teamed up with Springleap. I.e., people will get their shirts as thats what Springleap does best!
BTW, your t-shirt is right here with me in the office, so maybe we should do lunch/breakfast/coffee at some point so I can get it to you!
Thanks a lot for the kindest words man!
Hehe, I must get it! I’m a little swamped at the moment though mate, but by early next week, things will have cleared up quite a bit and I should have some open evenings :)
How are things going at Afrigator?
