Not too long ago, I blogged about the first round of AdGator payments and after that there was quite a pause between earnings starting again. Well, not to worry, the campaigns are running again and income is being made!
So, here’s a quick update on how things on iMod are doing. I some times think it’s important for you to see how my blog is doing, it gives you something to base predictions off your blog..

Don’t forget to prepare your affiliate referral posts.

Interesting. I am pretty much on par with you as far as AdGator earnings go. Nice to have something that really works.
I agree, it’s awesome to have a system which works, and doesn’t require rocket science or a paypal account!
wow, that is quite some earnings you’ve got there. Mine is still lingering at single digits per day. But real soon I’ll move into the double digits.
Can’t wait for the affiliate system they are working on.
Its confusing to me. For example, we did 850 views yesterday and made R3.47. You did say 2100 on a day and made like 31 or 32 rand.
2100/850 = 2.47
3.47*2.47 = R8.57
That’s what we would have made with your traffic.. and we’re in the same zone as we get the same ads..
Am I missing something?
Hey,
Ye, the thing you need to note is the number of impressions made by South African users – The traffic has to come from South Africa, not all impressions..
Understand?
Where do you see that they only pay out on South African impressions? Shouldn’t they only count south african impressions in the stats then?
Thanks
Dave
Well, I know this for a fact, but I’m sure I did see it on their website.
I agree, it’s confusing that they show all the impressions, but only pay for local – doesn’t really make sense does it?
Ye I looked through the site now and it doesn’t seem to mention it anywhere.
They really need to allow publishers to firstly only show actual ads and if its an adgator ad show their own code; and secondly then if its not going to get paid show their own ads..
Now instead we’ll have to geotarget their ads…
Interesting….
I made good money this month but since they stopped showing the insurance ads on my blog my earnings dropped drastically.
Also since the 21st I’ve gotten the adgator ad most of the time which I guess is why my earnings have dropped.
Nevertheless I’m still very happy with adgator and my earnings as I’m not that far away from getting paid:)
You guys should seriously look into Kalahari as well. I posted some proof of good returns over at http://get-noticed.blogspot.com/2009/01/kalahari-not-as-dry-as-region.html
Chris M, to answer your question regarding Kalahari in a related post: the sales come through http://www.watkykjy.co.za which is a site with huge amounts of traffic.
I’ve also seen major earning differences between my blog, which gets around 200-300 impressions a day and another girl at my work, who gets around a 100 which are some of her student friends browsing her blog.
She makes almost double what I get. I draw more international traffic, so I presume that could be the reason.
I’m also still very happy, any money is better than no money. lol
Guys, just as a point of interest, I mailed Justin Hartman from AdGator, basically expressing the same concern etc regarding their calculations. He indicated that they might refine the calculator on their site if there is a need for it ie people not understanding it fully. Maybe drop him a mail?
