I’ve almost been at The Forge for 6 months!

Wow, time really has flown for the past 6 months, I can’t believe that I’ve almost been at The Forge Web Creations for 6 months already. I received a couple emails from some regulars asking me for an update on how my job is going, so I decided that I would turn it into a blog post.

the-forge

I started working at The Forge last year, at the beginning of November, which gave me 2 months to adjust to the new environment and prepare myself for 2009. I have to admit, the two months went incredibly quickly and before I knew it, we were having Christmas lunch at Greens! 2009 arrived quickly and the year took off on a good note and lead me up to the end of my probation, which resulted in me receiving a really fantastic review on my work with The Forge thus far – With fire in my eyes on passion in my heart, I pushed forwards working extremely hard to produce results, which we could all be really happy about – The launch of the Leith Roofing website and the launch of the new Forge website have been marked as great moments for me and I’m sure the same for the rest of the team – The reviews and feedback have been very impressive. I have also worked with several clients to increase their traffic, conversions and SERP rankings and I can confidently say that I’ve kept my clients extremely happy. Another great moment took place, today, when we released the Cape Stay Blog – Now, for those of you who don’t know, I was working on the Cape Stay Blog before I arrived at The Forge, when I was still freelancing, so as you can imagine, it’s taken an incredible amount of work defining processes and so forth to get it to this point – It was a proud moment for all of us!

I’m enjoying each day more and more, and the funniest, or most interesting, thing is that I don’t even feel like I’ve come close to reaching my peak – I guess that’s a good thing, don’t you think?

The ride has been amazing, even Read Write Web wrote a blog post on me joining The Forge, The Forge Team is a group of people, who are so fantastic and so supportive that I’d struggle to find words to explain them.

Anyway, this wasn’t meant to be an emotional post, I just felt that I would give you all a good idea on what’s been happening in my career – Thank you for asking! :)

So, thank you to The Forge for inviting me into an environment where I can open up my wings and really fly high with some of the best cape town web designers in industry!

Oh and before I dash, tomorrow I’m off to Sacred Mountain Lodge Guest House to do some business – So there might be a lack of posts until Sunday. I’m not the only one working this weekend, Sue is off to The Winston – enjoy!

If you’ve not voted in the South African Blog Awards yet, please consider taking the time to do so – Thank you!

It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you and becoming good friends over the last 6 months. You’re a top guy in my book. Even though you drink too much tea.
