Telkom SAIX Internet down – Use OpenDNS to fix

Ok, so thousands of people are struggling with the Internet today and as we all know, it’s really important to be online! Anyway, thought I would share a fix with all of you.

Windows Vista:

1. Start > Network

1

2. Click Network and Sharing Center

2

3. Click Manage Network Connections

3

4. Right click on Connection Name, whether it’s wired or wireless, and go Properties

4

5. Select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and click Properties
6. On the Properties page, Select “Use the following dns server”
7. Enter in 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
8 Click OK

And there you have it, OpenDNS, your Internet will now work as per usual, but expect it to be a tad slower than usual!

Spread the news! :)

[Thanks Haydn]
