Wine Review – Thelema Mountain Red 2006

Friends often ask me what my ‘go to’ wine is – that bottle of wine that never lets you down.

The one you can sit at home with and drink by yourself or take with you to dinner at the in-laws. It’s the kind of wine you can trust on any occasion and what’s more – it will impress the pants off anyone drinking it. Which is motivation in itself because it will only cost you R60 for the show!

The wine comes from an estate that has arguably the most gorgeous setting in the whole of the winelands and produces some of the finest wines in South Africa to boot.

Thelema Mountain Red 2006
Bright red in colour. Light and fresh on the palate with some lovely cherry and spice flavours. Clean, silky finish.

Considering the quality and pedigree of this wine – it’s an absolute steal for the price.

You can pick it up at most bottle stores or supermarkets – if you’re in Cape Town try Wine Concepts or Vino Pronto!

Enjoy mense and come on Bokke!
