In my youth (a hell of a long time ago) the biggest waves I surfed were at Lookout Beach at Plettenberg Bay. It was a freak day and the waves were pretty big, maybe about 3 meters +, and it was scary. In that first pic that wave must be 5/6 meters, at least double what we surfed that day. Mind you we didn’t have guys on jet-skis to pull us into the waves and rescue us when we got flattened.

It’s quite incredible to see people catching these waves! I’ve been out at Llandudno and Long Beach before with massive sets and have faced several waves which I felt might end my life, but nothing compared to these ones! Massive courage!

The caption for the 3rd pic should be:
    “Hey guys – BRB”

Got something to say? Go for it!
