If there’s one thing that drives me crazy, it’s spam! Thank heavens for GMail’s spam filtering, because without that, I’d have an extra couple hundred emails to manage daily.
MyBroadBand released, the other day, an article naming and shaming South African spammers and I felt it would be a good idea to carry on the trend so as to keep you all aware of these parties:
1. Abelusi Training Network
2. Dynamic Seminars
3. New Heights 1268
4. PPI Group
5. Bizopp “Make R1million from an investment of R100k” Scam
6. www.we-insure.co.za
7. Vector BUILDERS, PLUMBERS and ELECTRICIANS
8. Media Online
9. Ivan Stander
10. Computer Corporation Marketing
11. mawandi9@gmail.com
12. Goedkoop.co.za
13. Peter Carruthers
14. Beyond Red
15. “Steven”
16. www.ketler.co.za
17. Uvest
So, if you see emails from these places/people, simply click the “report spam” button if there is one, otherwise click that delete button, let’s get rid of these people who refuse to work proper jobs!

I 2 use gmail, although sometimes even the SPAM box contains messages that should have made it through to the inbox so worthwhile checking before hitting that “delete all spam messages now” button.
Just stoked there’s no pictures to go with “Grow YourPenis 3-inches longer & thicker, girl will love you…”
Bizarre that Peter Carruthers is on that list. He’s a supposedly reputable business author.
@myphotographer – Some spam will always get through, hehe.
@Al – Interesting!!!
I agree with al
When I first saw this yesterday I thought it strange that Peter Carruthers name was on the list, perhaps Peter can help us with this one, is someone on business warriors who can give feedback? I’ve mailed the peeps I know, will post it soon.
I did a little research and am also now curious as to why he was on the list, looking forward to hearing more about this..
It’s probably my fault. Right at the beginning of the year I chose to email everyone I thought to be a small business owner to offer them my CrashProof your Business book for free. (A genuine no strings offer.) And then a month later I sent out an invite to get my 10 ideas to beat the recession – since published on News24, and on Radio.
It seems that this effort truly offended the authorities. This despite sticking to the letter of the law, and instantly removing anyone from the list who asked. (ECTA in SA allows targetted bulk email provided you offer immediate removal, and offer details of where the address was sourced.)
I stopped the initiative because about 20 folk complained, some very angrily, even though ten times that number had said thank you, and more than 1000 took up the offers.
Sadly, my 40,000 email effort has placed me in the ranks of folk offering to increase your length, who send out hundreds of millions of emails. Since nobody can find them, or do anything about them, we smaller folk are in line.
As soon as I get back home after this seminar tour I will find out how many folk complained, because the ISPA must have received a heck of a lot more complaints than I did. And start trying to understand how obeying the law can still drtop you in doodie.
Hi Peter, thanks for following the link through.
I accept your answer as a valid one.
Feel free to “spam” me anytime.
I’m sure it will be valuable information worth perusing.
All the best.

Hi Peter,
Thanks a million for coming over and clearing that up, sounds like an easy miscommunication and makes sense for you to follow up more with MyBroadBand and put the matter at rest as I’m sure the last thing you want it to be known as a “spammer”
Thanks mate!
