This morning I woke up feeling awful, we’ve had a stomach bug pass through a group of us and it was my turn today. Never-the-less, I was fortunate enough to be over it by later this afternoon (thank heavens), and after forcing myself to hydrate and eat as much as I could, I was able to get back to some proposal writing and other work related items.
The peeps over at Wattronics wanted to share one of their latest devices with me and I felt I would share it with all of you. I’ve been trying to plan a weekend away for this coming weekend and the place that we’ve decided to go to doesn’t have electricity, but rather solar energy; Now, this is where the Wattronics 4×4 Camper Kit comes into play, I’m sure you’ll have figured it out after seeing the picture below:
Let’s have a look at some of the features:
-
Easy to store, set up, use and carry
-
It comes with a 70W solar panel with leg tilts to handle various angles
-
Included in the kit is a 102 ah deep cycle battery
-
The box includes a 30 amp control circuit, in-let plugs, 2 cigar outputs, 2 Hella outputs, an on/off switch and indicators
-
A 20m connection cable is also included!
-
All of these items come with protective casings
We’re all on this mission to converse electricity, so allowing the sun to do your powering is a fantastic choice in my opinion – Gota love solar energy!
Another bonus is that unlike a big generator, the camper kit is going to be nice and quiet :)
If you’re interested in purchasing one of these, you can do it online on the Wattronics website.

At over R8000.00 it ain’t cheap and you had better hope the sun keeps shinning.
I agree, it isn’t cheap at all, but upon talking to Wattronics and getting a better understanding, they decided to go with high quality items that provide proper uses rather than quick fixes.
I would need to do a lot of camping to encourage me to buy one of these – If I had lots of spare money, I’d love one though :)
Chris, you had all excited but the price is a wee bit steep. Very cool though.
Perhaps they should be offering your readers a discount!
Hi Eishman, ye, it’s not the cheapest product around, but well worth it. I reckon I can get a 10% for iMod readers now that you mention it :)
Hi Chris + readers.
Ok you have a deal! 10% off for IMOD readers only. Orders will need to be placed by the end of Oct. Well worth the investment with all that one is getting.
