If this has happened to you..

.. you’ll know that most places quote a fortune to get them fixed. Long story short, there’s a place called iFix, which will repair your iPhone screen for R1600.00 in Cape Town. They also have shops in Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Hope this helps!

Hmm…Got mine fixed for R150. All you need is a credit card (to import the part yourself) and an engineering buddy keen on getting his hands dirty :)

Haha, good on you for taking the time to do it :)

  3. My Nokia handset cost under R400. If it breaks, I’ll throw it away and get a new one.

I’m still trying to work out why people want to have Internet access on their phone. What do you expect to see on such a small screen?

If I want to use the Net, I want to use a proper computer with a large screen. My phone is for calls and smses. And I rarely sms.

Lol, but then you miss out on the iPhone experience :P Which is a big loss.

These days I use my phone all the time, email, internet, twitter, feeds, the list goes on :)

  5. Ja, I know. It’s nuts.

Instead of paying attention to the people right in front of them, young people today are glued to their phones texting people out of sight.

Cell phones were a great invention, but the way people are using them is ridiculous.

For one night, don’t tweet about how wonderful the food is you’re eating, just eat it and enjoy it and write about it after the event.

I think it’s crazy that twitter is being used to give a play by play as it happens. I’m sure some guys are even breaking off sex mid stroke to tweet about how awesome it is.

I must agree though, the younger generation use mobile phones as if they’re part of being able to breathe. I have a friend who has two sisters and in the evening when they’re watching TV as a family, the two sisters (they are young teenagers) sit and IM eachother instead of speaking. It’s this sort of behaviour that I consider “dangerous”, personalities are going to change, people are becoming less patient and if information isn’t there immediately, it’s pushed aside completely.

Lol, well I really hope guys aren’t doing that, because that just adds another level of scary. I can imagine, you’re mid flight in an intimate act, be it sex or a wonderful dinner with you partner, whatever, and in your mind you’re thinking about a tweet you need to send, that’s just awful.

Got something to say? Go for it!
