    Good luck with the move and all that! I’m going to have to do that in a week or 2. Moving to town on 13th of March!

    BTW, did you buy this place?

  2. All we need now are some pictures of the view!

    Which is my room?
    Will have all my (censored) there by late Sunday.

    @JBagley – Sheesh mate, what a weekend, I’m finally feeling a bit more settled, it’s been absolutely crazy! I didn’t buy, I’m not too keen on the property market in South Africa at the moment, so I’ll rent for another year or so and then see what I feel. Good luck with yours!

    @Jesse – It’s not nearly as amazing as the last place, but it’s decent and I’ll take some as soon as possible :)

    @Rou – Haha!

  5. Place looks good, Chris. You done it up good. I bet the landlords just love you for adding value to their properties, instead of tearing them apart like some tenants do.

    Do you fund all the improvements out of your own pocket, or do the landlords give you some credit for your improvements?

    I bet when you find your own dream property, you’re going to have a ball redecorating it and making it absolutely stunning. You probably could do interior decorating as a career – you certainly have a good eye for it.

    Love that floor, btw. Would never have thought of that touch. Try not to burn the house down with your braais. :)

    Ye Richard, the landlord is incredibly lucky to have someone who comes in and offers to do all of these things – Yip, I paid out of my pocket. My costs were not low, but I did things quite cleverly if I may say so – I have a huge passion for interior design, so I know some good tricks :)

    Ah man, I tell you, the day I get my own place, just wow, I am going to doll it up like never before – I seriously can’t wait. I do have plans for my own place though and was going to execute it now, but I have a weird feeling about property in South Africa at the moment, so I went with my gutt and decided to rent another year and then review things again.

    Haha, ye, fortunately a Weber is quite safe ;)

    Thanks for the comment Richard!
