Cape Town City Ballet has been running for 75 years, seeing hundreds of ballets over the years and helping thousands of children in their outreach programmes.

The institute has ran into severe financial problems, by severe I mean that they are going to be shut down unless they can receive contributions to their emergency fund immediately.
If you enjoy the beauty, the art, the physical prowess, and the grace of ballet, then they’re reaching out to you for help.
You can donate via cheque or via direct bank transfer:

UPDATE:
One donation has been placed via my site by Ted, he has donated R1000.00 and has challenged all ex-ballerina’s to follow him and contribute. Let’s keep our real culture alive!

Thanks Chris for bringing this to the attention of all your readers. I believe this to be a really important project as the health of a country can be judge by the strength of is arts and culture. If one looks where SA is at the moment this lack could be one of the major causes of what is going on.
South African Ballet in Johannesburg is in the same boat, also strapped for cash. This is such a sadness.
@chris can you provide who CTCB are was this the old CAPAB.
I think Mom and I would like to put some money in, maybe we can challenge all ex ballet dancers! I will put a R1000.00 towards it
@Michael This has nowt do do with ballet although sad as it is I would like to really get behind the drive to promote ballet in Africa but sadly don’t have the time. But on another tack Chris M brought home your book on wines , very impressive, a few colleagues at work including myself, have ordered one from Kalahari.net Great job.
