I guess a lot of us these days want DSTV these days. I didn’t grow up with DSTV and to be honest, it’s never really played much of a role in my life until quite recently. As most of you know, I’m a huge fan of fishing and DSTV has some really great fishing programs on ESPN, apart from that, I love the style and entertainment channels as well as NatGeo and a few others.
Anyway, I decided I would organise myself DSTV and began asking around. I sent out some tweets and got some information, but nothing ever really came from it and I felt I was back at square one. Some more asking around only lead to me being a little paranoid about service, so many dodgy stories people have to tell about installers.
Eventually I was hooked up with a guy called Collin, who did a site survey 24 hours after being asked to and turned a quote around instantly. I had a think about it, looked at the finances and decided I would go ahead. A couple text messages to Colin 20 minutes ago and he’s coming through tomorrow morning to set it up – as simple as that.
I’ll blog again tomorrow morning after the installation to let you all know how it went, but right now I feel as though I’ve found someone who understands good service and I want to share it with all of you!

Ahoy,
We are looking at doing the same. How much does the site survey, installion and dish cost?
Hi Tariq, here’s what I’m getting:
1. Dish kit with twin LNB
2. Multi-switch with connectors + labour
3. HD Decoder
EVERYTHING comes to a bit over R5,000.00..
Let me know if I can hook you up?
im a dstv installer and im not accredited but what i share with most installer is agood service and quality plus good pricing i commend what chris did to get someone to survey give you a quote and agree b4 the y start running around
Ye, it’s very important to have a survey first and Colin was brilliant at what he did!
