It’s come to that time again, where I have a fantastic Nokia phone to give away. Last time it was the Nokia N97, now it’s the Nokia N8.

The phone’s packed with some awesome features, but let’s just focus on a hand full:
-
The phone comes with a 12 megapixel camera, including a xenon flash, so you’ll be able to capture photographs in low light situations as well.
-
Software wise, the phone run Symbian 3, which allows for multi-touch, flick scrolling and pinch-zoom. They phone is very particular about memory management, which allows you to run a number of applications comfortably at the some time.
-
Connect to your home theatre with the N8 via the HDMI connection, show of your photographs and videos in high-definition digital 720p resolution. The phone also features Dolby Digital Plus technology, which means that it’s compatible with home theatre systems, meaning that your videos won’t only look great, but they’ll sound great too.
-
You’ll get up to 50 hours of music playback and a 6 month unlimited access account to the Ovi store.
-
16GB of memory, which should be plenty for all your photographs, applications and video, and if that isn’t enough, the phone comes with a MicroSD slot, which is hot-swappable up to 32GB extra.
Here’s a quick video to give you a better idea:
Quite the device isn’t it?

Great competition, will get a pic to you..
I am so entering. >.<
Hahahahahaha… no idea why I entered your name as my name =/
lol!
I know I can’t win, but if I find something creative and exciting with the digit 8 in it, I think I’ll send it in just for the vibe :) Looks like a groovy phone!
@Chris – awesome – thank you for hosting the competition – we are excited to see the entries! The Nokia N8 in our opinion is an awesome phone – we might bias, but it really is stunning!
No problem – The entries are pouring in and there are some good ones!!!
This is so cool, so cool and yes, SO COOL.
Will I be marked down or pitied for using my BlackBerry camera?
It’s a plea to get upgraded really… :)
Hahaha, you can use any device you want :)
@Lar no we won’t hold that against you – send your entry and you could just be the proud owner of a brand new Nokia N8 :)
Chris, would I need to be in the photograph or can it be any picture taken as long as there is th digit 8 in it?
I took a look at the Nokia N8 on gsmarena a couple of months ago and was like “That has to be my phone!!”
Really want one. Could do with an upgrade as well – might as well try my luck? :P
great idea for a comp! Looking forward to seeing the creative results
Lets just hope that the N8 isnt as dismal as the N97 was….
I have 3 questions:
1) How do you know that people actually took the photos and didn’t download something off the internet?
2) Is more than one entry allowed?
3) Is digital manipulation/enhancement allowed?
1. How many photos are you allowed to send?
2. If more than one is it one per e-mail?
3. What is the maximum size?
4. Same guestion about digital manipulation/enhancement?
Just to clear up a couple things:
1. I never mentioned anywhere that the best photograph would win. Naturally, I’m probably going to favour someone who’s put a little time in, but this is not the deciding factor.
2. Each person can only enter once
3. You can digitally enhance your photograph :)
4. No maximum size, but if it’s massive, I’ll probably not bother downloading ;)
NokiaRSA
Your UK buddies also have a great campaign with http://www.starwithpam.com/
Great that the marketing campaign behind the N8 is being this innovative.
Here are some of the entries: http://imod.co.za/index.php/2010/09/07/nokia-n8-competition-inspiration-2/
Expect my entry in by end of today :) just goto think of something creative…
want that fone!!!
Awesome comp Chris. Boy do I need a new phone.
Pic on it’s way….
Wow what an amazing phone!!! and a great Compo!
It’s a great competition indeed, fail part is that I can’t enter! ;)
You can submit as many entries as you want, but each person will only be entered in once, I’ll choose their best photograph to go along with their name.
I would like to ask, if I am entering more than one picture for you to select the best, should I send them in 1 email or seperate emails? Have been creating a couple photographs, on which I can’t decide the one I like most.
@Andrew – Either way is fine with me, the best one will be selected and associated with your name..
Entered and not a moment to late :)
I hope I win and good luck to all :D
Thanks for your entry B :)
The entries are now closed, so anyone emailing from after 12h00 will no be included.

Would you announce the winner already! Can’t wait forever
Me too, desperate to know who the winner is. Please announce!!!!
@Piet – What on earth are you talking about?
My thoughts exactly Chris. It’s a facebook page not an app. lol
After all I think Google has more information of Piets than anyone could imagine. Nokia have more than enough info to continue their success.
@Chris. He’s talking about this week’s N8 competition which started today. You have to login to facebook to do it and let them use your status as a spamming tool.
Oh, dodgy!
I thought this was a Nokia competition?
I like pages all the time especially people, services and products I use. I “like” the nokia products so I like there facebook page, surely, maybe???
I “like” IMOD……oops, haven’t done that yet. On my way now Chris ;-)
A WinRAR is I? (Yup, a meme)
