During the past week, we received one of the biggest pieces of news ever – Google announced the launch of Instant Search. It’s hard to explain completely, so instead I’ve included a video which will bring you up to speed:
So in a nutshell, as Google Predictive Search works, Instant Search will show you results before you even finish typing in what you’re looking for. I heard that this will save you up to 1-2 seconds per search – Because time’s that important ;)
Anyway, perhaps you don’t want this functionality, well here’s how you disable it:
As you begin typing in what you want to search for, you’ll notice a control button on the right of the search bar, which will give you the option to either turn Instant Search on or off. This is just one way, another way would be to visit your search preferences page and turn it off their.
You can turn it back on whenever you like following the same instructions.
