Hiring great talent

Every now and then we come across someone who goes the extra mile to do something to stand out and further their career. Recently there was a guy who made cocktails outside an agency in Cape Town, there have been guys who’ve created clever AdWords campaigns to get jobs and tonight I was sent a link to a guy who’s trying to get a job at RedBull. The cool thing is, I actually know the guy and can vouch and say that he’s not only a really great guy, but he’s driven and motivated – I’ve known him for over 10 years, so I wanted to give him a helping hand.

I’ve forwarded the website along to my contacts at RedBull, but seriously, if he doesn’t get a job there and you run an agency, this is someone to snap up quickly, it’s rare that great talent comes along. If I was currently hiring, I’d put an offer out immediately.

Everyone can take a lesson from this, don’t just send your CV around, take the time to be creative and get noticed – it’s all about personal branding at the end of the day.
