Oh man, when you think everything’s been done, one of the big sites rolls out a feature that is, well, innovative, but at the same time laughable. I don’t know if I’m laughing because of the sheer craziness that this presents or whether I’m laughing out of fear because I know these couples pages will be hugely popular amongst the masses. This is a rehash of their Facebook Friendship thing that the did (or still do), whereby it side by side’s two people and creates a unique timeline based on interactions between those two people.
For those people who are listed in a relationship on Facebook, Facebook automatically provides the ability for the two people to have a Couples Page.

Of course, guess what, the interwebs are ranting and raving about privacy, and I don’t blame them!
If you’re in a relationship on Facebook and you visit https://www.facebook.com/us, you’ll be redirected to your couples page ;)

This actually seems to work with almost any combination at the moment … if you’re not in a relationship then it will go to your own profile, but if you are – there are links on the sidebar where you can see a couples page for you and any of your friends.
It’s kind of a unique idea, but I’m also a little jittery about the privacy thing
Ah alright, so they’ve kept their previous functionality of allowing relationship feeds to be done – I don’t normally use these sorts of things, but I must admit, it can be quite interesting to see interactions with a friend. The couples thing though, haha, that’s taking it too far in my opinion, almost feels like they’re running out of ideas if you know what I mean. Threaded comments, however, would be a nice change!
