I think we all know that one of the biggest problems with trying to get things done is the constant interruption that is our inbox. The number of times I’ve knuckled down to do something and a popup appears saying I have a new email is second to nothing and it’s a problem.
I’ve found a great productivity hack that was launched last year called Inbox Pause. The name is exactly what the hack does, it pauses your inbox. In other words, when you click the pause button (literally), nothing will happen to your inbox until you unpause it. This means that no new emails will appear, no more distractions, just enjoy getting through your work peacefully.
This hack comes in the form of an extension for Chrome, so if you’re a GMail user who uses Chrome, you can grab it here.
