Our neighbours are hacking the Pentagon

Hmmm, over the past several days, what appears to be a studio at the top of a residentual block near to A Cape Town Flat by Chris M, there seems to be something going on.

Every evening, fairly late, a number of Christmas tree type lights get turned on, they’re red, blue and green and they remain on until the early hours of the morning, around 5am. I have look for human movement with no success.

Something’s happening and I can’t figure out what!

Next time you’re driving down Roeland Street fairly late at night, take a look up, see if you can spot on. I’m still deciding whether I should be contacting Mr Obama and alerting him to this!

New Pics of A Cape Town Flat by Chris M

As you all know, I really love interior design and I’ve used my flat as a playground to explore possibilities. I just had a new piece of furniture delivered today, so I wanted to upload some new pictures to get your opinions. The new piece is the cabinet under the television in case you didn’t know.

I have the art work on the way and I’ve been looking out for a light for my lounge. I’m also wondering about some more plants. Apart from that, I’m not sure what I could go for next, any ideas?

Look after the plants in your house!

A Cape Town Flat by Chris M houses two lovely plants, ok, actually three, but these are my two. Fred, on the right, is a gift from Fe and Nameless, on the left, is a gift from my sister.

Both of these plants have been living in the flat for a good while now and have experience some ups and downs, from too much sun, to being blown around the flat from crazy wind to lacking lots of water. I do water them and I even feed them from time to time, but you can never gets things spot on all the time.

Instructables featured a great article on how to keep your house plants alive and after reading the following 7 points, it certainly is going to help:

1. Try to figure out what your plant is called
2. Give it the light it needs
3. Water it
4. Determine the kind of soil
5. Give it fertilizer
6. Repot it
7. Check air supply.

I must admit, some of these points are a little hectic for my liking, but I’m definitely going to give it a bash and see what the outcome is like!

Do you have plants in your place? If not, read my article about plants in the work place to understand just how important they are!

Updated Photographs of A Cape Town Flat by Chris M

So, it’s been a while since I talked about A Cape Town Flat by Chris M and I decided that I would post some new pictures of the flat. As you can see, we’ve added some bean bags, surround sound system with home entertainment theatre as well as some swanky stools and lights. Things are coming together really nicely, our matching contemporary white gloss TV unit arrives in Feb, which will sort out the little mess under the TV and we’ll be purchasing a special lamp which will come in from the corner over the couch and focus on the coffee table, it’s all so exciting!
