We’ve been having such gorgeous weather in Cape Town recently. I heard someone earlier talking about the weather changing a bit this week, so I wanted to take a look and see what I could find out, and unfortunately he was correct, but at least there’s no rain!
Knowing Cape Town, this could mean that we’re going to have an amazing weekend coming up!
This afternoon I headed through to the Sunday Tweetup at Cafe Neo. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! The event was really cool, not too many people, just enough to have a chance to speak to everyone and meet some new people!
It’s an absolutely gorgeous day in Cape Town today, not a single cloud in sight nor a breeze of wind! For those of you who are out at the beach, you’re lucky! I’m heading through to Cafe Neo for the Sunday Tweetup in a couple hours, which is right on the beach front, so I look forward to that!
I was invited to go for drinks in Camps Bay this evening, but unfortunately I’ve been held to my computer and will not be able to make it, apologies to all parties who attended, the weather looks like it’s going to be stunning that side!
I often post about Table Mountain and Cape Town, and over the past few weeks I’ve started to receive a large number of emails from people asking me to take more photographs! I’m busy working on something, which will open up the way I do this, so I’ll keep you all posted on that, but for now, enjoy these..

I was minding my own business when just moments ago, Cool Runnings Cafe started following me on Twitter, now that’s interesting isn’t it? I wonder if they have someone who’s into social media working with them to help spread the word or if it’s just an employee..
I must say, their website is looking good, but what’s up with all the marijuana bits and pieces, surely that’s not a good idea? They definitely don’t have someone doing their Search Engine Optimization though ;)
It’s nearly the end of a busy day, lol not, and it’s almost time for the Cape Town Geek Meet at Tank! Just a few more hours and I’ll be talking geek, sipping cocktails and throwing back some sushi – what a blissful way to spend Friday evening!
The event starts at 6PM and there’s a good number of fellow geeks coming along. The event is open, so if you’re lost for ideas or want to meet some extraverted geeks, then this is the place to be!
There’s no better feeling than looking out the window and realising that summer is on the way and that I live in the best city in the world, Cape Town! Table Mountain is truly beautiful on days like this and I feel so lucky to be able to just sit here and look at it!
So, it’s 5h47 in the morning and I’ve finally finished coding, what a long day and night it has been. My curtains have been closed, so I had no idea what it looked like until I got up to take a break a few minutes ago. Here are a few pictures I quickly snapped:
Not too sure how many of you follow the news and underlining topics, I know I do, and I know that today is 10-14-2008 – There is a prediction sweeping the globe, today an Alien spacecraft will “show” itself in the skies sometime on this day
With the powerfailure that took place early this morning due to an “accident” on the West Coast of South Africa, it’s not just a co-incidence! What about the US Navy docked at the Cape Town harbour, with one of its nuclear powered aircraft carriers and other naval vessels? This is the first time in decades – Something’s up!
Here are two interesting videos:
The blog which is tracking everything is quite amazing, posts with 800 comments says a lot about how many people are watching this!
I’m heading off to a party in celebration of this tomorrow, it promises to be a really interesting event!
Look out for interesting things today in the skies! Without sounding too way out, I live on the 16th Floor and the wind howls up here – Today it’s howling big time, but it’s blowing in the opposite direction to what it usually blows, this is the first time I’ve experienced this – freaky!
