Each year, Que Pasa holds a salsa event and all proceeds go to charity. I must tell you, a salsa event which involves dressing up in Christmas gear is really good fun!
All the details are on the invitation below, please feel free to join!

Now this I need!
Release date: 11 November 2010.
For those of you who watch So You Think You Can Dance, you’ll have seen this already, but those of you who haven’t, this is a treat if you’re into some excellent “locking” and “isolation”..

If you don’t think, Brian, dude in the middle, actually suffers from scoliosis, here’s another video of him:
Just amazing!
There’s nothing better than a great weekend is there? I find that when I manage to have a great weekend, the week ahead always rolls smoother.
My aim for Friday was to get through as much work and as many emails as possible to ensure that I could really detach from my computer and enjoy some disconnect time, and this is exactly what I did. I spent Friday evening relaxing whilst Fe went to watch a show. After her show I went round for a drink and then set forth to fill my tank up with petrol, only to realise that all the petrol stations were closed. I finally found one open in the CBD and whilst filling up I bumped into DChetty and we ended up chatting for quite a while and then when I was just about to leave, I bumped into Han, which resulted in another long conversation, suffice to say, I got home in the really early hours of the morning, but it was worth it.
Despite getting very little sleep, I managed to wake up nice and early on Saturday morning and head through to do some fishing. The weather was gorgeous, mid-twenties, next to no wind and lots of sun. I managed to catch an awesome rainbow trout, put up quite the fight (and was then released). I also lost one unfortunately, but I’m just glad I hooked one, here’s a pic:

After fishing I headed back home, Fe and I then went through to Century City to go look at holidays at Flight Center – fat help that was, they have a temp on duty who cannot access prices or anything, so we got given brochures, which are basically replicas of the information on the website. Anyway, after that we proceeded to fire up a big braai, we ate ourselves until we could hardly walk – delicious! Once our stomachs had settled, I suggested that we head through to Sue Pasa to do some dancing, which is exactly what we did – so awesome to do some salsa again, it’s been far too long. Must admit, pretty amazed I remember quite a few moves!
I slept in this morning and really don’t have any plans for the day as of yet. I need to round up the Nokia N8 competition so we can announce a winner tomorrow, but apart from that, I think I’m just going to take it easy.
How’s your weekend been?
For those of you who are into dancing, specifically salsa and perhaps a touch of Cha Cha, then Que Pasa’s white winter party on Saturday is for you.

QP’s parties are inexpensive and are always a jol. From beginners to advanced dancers, everyone’s welcome and everyone gets a go at something – go along and try the beginner class, it’s the nicest way to get into salsa, that’s how I started.
If all goes to plan, I’m going to pull through for this one!
If you know me well, you will know that I absolutely love contemporary dancing, and this is possibly one of the most beautiful dances I’ve ever seen:
Much like So You Think You Can Dance and the other dancing reality shows, ABDC is all about who America thinks is the best dance crew. Quest Crew is a crew, which has members like Hokuto “Hok” Konishi and Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval, who have both done very well in SYTYCD, so it’s a quality crew with a group of amazing dancers!
They are all incredible dancers and watching them is something special, so here’s a few of their performances:
Brilliant Dancers! You can catch them in the latest ABDC on DSTV, where they’re still in the competition with a few other teams! :)
Seems like everything is moving onto the iPhone, take a look at this:
I think you’ll all be impressed with me this evening..
I finished work just after 6 and decided to pop in at my folks place, to which my Mom offered to buy some dinner and we could eat and watch SYTYCD (last 2 people getting kicked out before the finals). Long story short, I was amped for my Mom’s idea, but then I thought about these blog posts and I thought about the commitment and I actually got off the couch, which happened to be incredibly comfortable, and drove home. I changed into my gear, and hit the road.
Honestly, it took absolutely everything in me to spur myself on to running this evening, the devil on my left shoulder had such a strong argument, but I listened the to other and I’m pleased with myself.
The run went very well this evening, I arrived home feeling strong and happy, which is the exact reaction I’m looking for from this venture.
Oh, and the best part.. I then jumped in my car, boosted back to my folks and enjoyed watching SYTYCD..
Amazing to watch Jakob and Mollee dance a Viennese Waltz so quickly, definitely not an Ordinary Day!
Perfect!
