This proudly South African movie sees Cassim Kaif as a young Muslim man who works in his father’s fabric shop in Fordsburg, Johannesburg. In the family tradition, Cassim, as the only son, is expected to take over the family business from his father.

The Cape tells a story about a man who goes from being framed for a crime into being a masked hero. The series has aired two episodes thus far and on IMDB, has a rating of 9.7/10, which is record breaking and very rare for IMDB.
Created by Tom Wheeler and starring Martin Klebba, Jennifer Ferrin and Izabella Miko, The Cape promised to be an excellent series. I haven’t watched an episode yet, but will do so as soon as I have a gap.

Julianne Moore next film has a nice new poster making the rounds. Also starring Henry VIII (The Tudors) himself Jonathan Rhys Meyers and directed by Swedish duo Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, Shelter will see Julianne play a forensic psychiatrist trying to uncover the mystery of why one of her patients has multiple personalities that all appear to be murder victims.

Directed by Colin and Greg Strause, Skyline is a movie about a group of friends who are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through a window. As you might have guessed, it’s a thriller and has a somewhat cliched approach whereby a force is swallowing the human race.
