Investing & Money
piece written on the 2nd November 2016 by

Almost three years ago I published a blog post on the differences between Exchange Traded Funds (ETF’s) and Unit Trusts. I did this because I spent a lot of time researching and wanted a place to refer back to. I also published it because I felt that all of you would enjoy it and benefit from it – I hope you did.

Because of my interests in investing and ETF’s, when this infographic popped up on Visual Capitalist, I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, at the time I didn’t think about blogging it and I’m not sure why. Nevertheless, I now have the time to do so, so I’m putting it below for all of you:

There really isn’t an answer as to which approach is better. Different approach for a different market, however, being informed about both approaches is how you make a calculated decision. Since publishing the initial post, I’ve spent time weighting my portfolio in a manner that I felt would be better.

I’d love to know how you’ve weighted your portfolio. Do you have a preference for ETF’s or Unit Trusts? Pop me a comment down below, I’d love to debate this if anyone is up for that.
